Letting the CAT outta the BAG!

2014-05-28 13.03.00First of all, you are normal. We are trained to believe that what we see promoted is reality, desired, and even perfect sometimes.
I can speak for myself as well as many of other fitness professionals and freaks who are hiding behind the curtain.
People show what they want you to see. Reality is, the majority struggles with keeping themselves in control. I shouldn’t say struggle, as it’s about making good choices the majority of the time. Life is life and should be lived and enjoyed without being under a constant feeling of restriction.

What drives me to roll my eyes is when someone who clearly has their ups and downs with their fitness and weight, gets fit, then rides their high righteous horse telling everyone what they should and shouldn’t do.
The story usually unfolds that they find themselves a little too careless, lenient, and allow some weight to creep back on. That’s when you see them retreat a bit.
The reality is, the majority go up and down.
What we have to keep in check is HOW MUCH you let that pendulum swing. Getting a little thick, plump, or full is normal every so often. The problem lies when you let it get too out of control and are not making any good choices. Food is a challenge. Exercise is actually easier for people. But you can’t out exercise if you are off in your nutrition.
So don’t get so wrapped up in perceived perfection. There’s usually a curtain covering up on those “fat days”
